    Another interesting aspect is that none of them seems to have seen the potential of social media. I scan through quite a bit of shipping (and other) news every day and post the most interesting articles on both Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. I will NEVER tweet or post a Lloyds List article, though, since nobody (other than the occasional subscriber) will be able to see anything other than the headline.

    On the other hand I tweet and post all the IFW and JoC articles that I find interesting.

    I guess time will show which business model is better, but in a world where basically all media have switched to non-subscription models I know who I am betting on.
