    I so much share those views on the use of social media as just another channel for self-promotion. Granted, we fell into the same trap when first starting out with Twitter - I guess that is natural step that most people need to go through - but in the process we discovered what it really is all about: Connecting People! Yes, the old Nokia motto :-) Even in a B2B environment it is still about people. As naive as it may sound.

    I guess the only thing that I don't share is your optimism that something good eventually will come of it, but I truly hope that I am wrong and you are right.

    I totally agree with you. I have come across an article online, i forgot the title and the link. Anyways, it's about whether our age is an information age or just a chatter age. The idea of the said article is very similar to yours Ryan. Not all of the data in the internet is considered information because not all are relevant.
